Disperse (seed exchange) (2014)

No matter how controlled they are, all gardens are linked to their surrounds via myriad interactions, relationships and exchanges. To emphasise this interconnection, during the year I collected seeds – mostly from perennials – to exchange with other people within an exhibition context. Seed recipients are then invited to share their seed experiences with members of the Facebook group Disperse.

Hazel branches, seeds collected from artist's garden, paper packets, labels and person-to-person exchange. Dimensions variable.
