Analogue (2012)

Analogue’s portrayal of individual micro-fauna situations, interactions and encounters drew on the richness and complexity inherent within the domestic ecology. Using short digital videos to highlight ecological dynamism, these were arranged into a 3 x 3 presentation format that alluded to the layering that occurs within an actual ecosystem. This layering was also represented by incorporating the ambient domestic noises (that occurred while filming) as a sound element. Staggering the beginning of individual videos was intended to further highlight how exchanges within any ecology combine to constitute a stratum of interrelationships.
